Congratulations to all the nominees of awards at the EIE House of Lords Prizegiving ceremony on Friday 1st July! We are delighted to announce that one of the nation's most popular newspapers, the Evening Standard, will be joining us as they will be receiving an award at the Prestigious event due to their fantastic and highly successful literacy campaign supported by many across London. Support for the campaign has come from many celebrities, including X Factor Judge Louis Walsh, the Mayor of London, the Education Secretary and other dignitaries encouraging the nation's youngsters to read. The campaign also raises awareness of the problem of illiteracy, rife amongst many of the capital's children. 

It is with absolute humility and the greatest of honour, that we welcome the Evening Standard to attend this wonderful ceremony to celebrate, support and further this charitable, very worthy cause to get more students reading, ultimately staying in education for longer, leading to a better quality of life.
